End of Year Empties! | Fashion & Beauty

Hello! I'm back from my self imposed exile from the internet, blogging and all things social media with a brand new blog post! I tend to stay away from my phone and laptop over Christmas but today I am back! Everyone have a good Christmas? I left the house today after like four days and I swear I think I forgot how to walk. Anyway, on to the topic of the hour: EMPTIES! I've been collecting empties in a box underneath my desk for what seems like forever, so I thought now would be a good time to clear out and show you guys what I've used up recently!

Food
Tea Nation tea in French Meadow (link to similar) - This stuff is the bomb. I picked it up at the Coffee Festival in Brick Lane earlier this year, and it is a delicious lavender infused yumminess.
Repurchase? Definitely if I can find it again!

Twinings Salted Caramel Green Tea - This really is as good as it sounds. I first heard about this on Alix from I Covet Thee's YouTube, I think it may have been in one of her favourites. And oh my it is deeelish. Genuinely satisfies sweet cravings. In fact, brb gonna go and make a cup!
Repurchase? Yes!

Manuka Doctor Manuka Honey 12+ - This stuff has completely saved me over the past six months. Every time I start to feel like I'm getting a cold, I load up on Manuka, Vit C, teas and Vitamin B6. It works, trust me guys!
Repurchase? Definitely!

Coconut Oil - Okay, a little fib here. This is a brand new tub of coconut oil I bought today, and because I couldn't be bothered to go downstairs and get the empty jar I figured this would do! The jar I finished is the Holland and Barrett brand that I usually get, but I figured I would branch out and try a new brand! I'm obsessed with coconut oil as you can tell here, so this is a mainstay in my cupboards.
Repurchase? Always.

Beauty
Nourishing Nail Polish Remover (linked to similar) - Nothing special here, just a run of the mill polish remover!
Repurchase? Not picky about polish remover so this'll do!

Boots Botanics Rosewater spritz and Facial Oil - The whole Boots Botanics Organic range is one of my favourite brands, and these two are up there. Since finishing these up I've actually managed to successfully phase out all store bought products and use only products I make myself in my face routine using 100% natural oils, butters, waxes and essentials oils (the only two store bought things I use occasionally are a serum and  a face wash, which are both Dr Organics products). I promise to do loads of tutorials on DIY beauty in the New Year!
Repurchase? Not for now, but I reckon they'll be a good back up when I'm in between making my own.

Cherry Carmex - I'm currently using an organic Pomegranate lip balm by Dr Organic, but Cherry Carmex is a total staple and I will most definitely be repurchasing.
Repurchase? Yes!

Make Up

Sorry about the quality of this one, the light went so I had to take it on flash!

elf Mineral Face Primer - This stuff is pretty good, especially for the price (which I forget, something in the £5-6 mark I think!) It glides on really nicely and makes a big difference to my make up staying put during the day.
Repurchase? I definitely would, though I'd like to give another primer a go. Any suggestions?

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation - This is my standard foundation that I've been using for about three years now and I refuse to use anything else. It matches my skin perfectly and gives a lovely dewy medium coverage.
Repurchase? Always.
Oils
Okay so as you can see, I go through A LOT of essential oils. It's a problem.
Sweet Almond carrier oil. fig, bergamot, ylang ylang, grapefruit, lotus, lime, lavender, orange, lily of the Valley, gardenia, rose geranium, eucalyptus aaand honeysuckle.
Repurchase? I've kinda already replaced a lot of these. I told you it was a problem...

Other

Effervescent Vitamin C and Zinc - I mentioned these earlier, they are a part of my fail-safe anti cold and flu remedy. Works every time folks.
Repurchase? Yes!

  1. Caramel infused tea? I've got to try this out myself. Also, the ELF primer is a great product for the price---I don't know how they make a profit off their $3 and $1 items.

  8. There's so much in this post I want to try! I've never heard of the salted caramel green tea, but I think I might try it. I'm not a huge salted caramel fan, but I love tea and I'm looking for a tea to help with a sweet tooth. I literally have a tea I drink for almost everything, my sweet tooth tea is the only one missing lol.

And I have a go-to concoction for when I feel sick as well lol. Sometimes I include honey, most the time I don't though. If it's really bad then I'll use honey, but for everything else I drink an abundance of Apple Cider Vinegar, and a lot of ginger root as well. I feel like ACV and ginger can cure anything lol.

  9. that's great to hear that you're using all natural products for your skincare! i do like brands that offer organic and natural ingredients, but i really haven't made anything myself at home but i'm sure it'd be a lot more affordable! also that salted caramel tea sounds amazing!

  10. Salted Caramel tea sounds amazing! I'll have to hunt some down. I must try Elf primer too, I use a Lancome one and it's nice but far too thick for me. I've got a constant supply of vitamin C tablets in my cupboard for when I'm starting to feel run down. That's amazing that you've managed to phase out all store bought cosmetics, it's so hard to know what crazy ingredients they've put in there, at least you always know what's going into your skin!

  11. I loved that Salted Caramel tea as well, and I'm not usually the biggest fan of green tea :) I need to be more on it with the Vitamin C next Winter, because I had the worst flu of my life in December lol :(
